About me

Annette_Forsyth

I have had a keen interest in nature from a young age and have been very lucky to be able to spend a lot of time in the outdoors and in my garden. My passion for photography evolved as a natural progression. I have recently been awarded a Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society.

Photography for me is a way of sharing my love of nature – from the fascinating details, shapes and patterns in macro photography to the ever changing light and moods of Scotland’s beautiful landscapes, where most of my images are taken.

In 2015 I started leading German speaking photography tours for our Company Wandern Schottland, which is a lot of fun and I am very much looking forward to the tours of the coming season.
I also have a separate Site in German dedicated to my German speaking Photography Tours with a lot more information.

Originally from Germany I studied Biology and Geography at University and worked as a teacher there. I fell in love with Scotland in the 80s, met my Scottish husband here and we now live in Crieff, Perthshire with our two children, from where we run a hill walking business.

Why Landscape Photography

Nature First

With the rise in popularity of photography in the last decade, I have become sorely aware of the impact we are having on the beautiful locations we visit and the need for responsible, respectful behaviour by photographers & tourists alike. So when I came across Nature First - the Alliance for Responsible Nature Photography  I joined them gladly. Members pledge to adhere to a set of 7 principals, which I whole-heartedly support.  Check out their website below.
